After Sunday’s 3/15 deadline, we were very close to reaching our 500-unit minimum order threshold across all three products. To help cover the remaining inventory, we reached out to select wholesale partners.

This morning, 3/17, we crossed the threshold and placed the Olive Waxed Canvas purchase order with our factory. As a result, all pre-orders for this collection are now closed.

From here, we’ll keep Waxed Olive customers updated on production progress. We currently expect the products to arrive in Bozeman in early to mid-October, and all orders will ship immediately upon arrival.

In January we announced we had no planned waxed canvas restocks for 2026. Immediately we heard from you asking for us to change our mind.

When we were in Asia meeting with customers, we also had multiple conversations about waxed canvas. Most of these conversations were asking for us to bring back the rare Waxed Olive color we produced in 2023 that sold out in 60 seconds.

It got us thinking...

The Waxed Olive Idea

On the plane ride back from Asia we discussed your feedback and asked ourselves: Is there a way to offer our loyal customers the waxed canvas color they want in 2026?

After a few weeks of cross-team collaboration, the Waxed Olive idea was born.

For two weeks, we will open pre-orders for CIVIC Travel Bag 26L, CIVIC Travel Bag 20L, and CIVIC Access Pouch 2L in waxed canvas in a beautiful olive color.

This is the first time CTB will be made in Waxed Olive.

This will be a limited collection, as in we will not produce this C4X P400 Wax color in these products ever again. We also must receive at least 500 units ordered per product (our factory minimum). Once this occurs, we will fast track this special run with our factory.

We will begin to accept pre-orders on March 2nd at 7:30am MST on our site.To help out with the wait during production, we're also offering the collection at up to 25% off.

The Waxed Canvas

The waxed canvas used in the collection will be our custom-made C4X P400 Wax, which combines a heavy-duty cotton with a tough, crystalline wax finish that is more durable and water-resistant than any off-the-shelf waxed canvas materials. It ages beautifully, picking up a unique patina over years of wear. We developed this incredible textile with Halley Stevensons, who has been the world's leading producer of waxed canvas for 150+ years.

• Each product will be on a pre-order sale of up to 25% off. More pricing details below.
• We will not produce this C4X P400 Wax color in CTB20, CTB26 or CAP2 ever again. This is a limited edition program.
• Pre-orders will start on March 2nd at 7:30am MST.
• Our current estimated delivery is mid-October 2026. We are actively working on ways to shorten the timeline a few months, but it is most likely going to ship to customers by mid-October.
• If any product does not hit the minimum order threshold of 500, we will cancel all pre-orders for the specific product. Think of this like a Kickstarter. We must hit our goal per product.
• We will not produce less than 500 units of each product. Once 500 orders are placed per product, we will green light the production run.
• All Waxed Olive orders will be final sale due to commitments we must keep with the factory.
• We will regularly update all pre-order customers with the status of the project.
• Please only order Waxed Olive items in your shopping cart. Do not add items not on pre-order.

Originating from your requests and Waxed Olive's cult-like following, this is the most unique pre-order we have ever offered, and if successful, could be the model to approach unique (higher-risk) programs in the future.

Will there be any product feature changes?
No. CIVIC Travel Bag will offer the same features as the current waxed canvas. CIVIC Access Pouch 2L will offer the same features as the standard version, aside from swapping out the leather zipper pulls.

What shell color will be available?
Each product will have a Waxed Olive P400 Wax C4X shell. This shell textile is custom developed with Scottish Mill, Halley Stevensons.

What lining color will be available?
Each product will have our Standard Gray lining color.

What international stockists will offer the Waxed Olive collection?
As of right now, we do not have plans to offer waxed olive to any of our international stockists.

When will Waxed Olive orders ship?
All waxed olive orders are on track to ship in mid-October 2026.

Why are you doing a pre-order?
As a small customer-funded brand, we are excited by the opportunity to build unique collections that can excite our customer base. However, these one-off collections can be a big risk for us.

We hear a lot about waxed canvas, but we need to ensure the demand can hit our minimums to make a program like this make sense, for a variety of reasons. The pre-order creates a special limited edition collection, services those who want more waxed canvas colors, and alleviates some of our operational risk.

In return for your patience and for helping our team bring waxed olive to life, we are offering up to 25% off each of the waxed olive products. We do not typically offer sales on our gear.

Additionally, we get a lot of requests for other wild colors, weird textiles and product variations. If this pre-order is successful, we will be more open to repeating the concept for other unique product variations.

Why Olive?
This is the top requested color for our waxed canvas. We also have already completed most of the product development work for this color, from back in 2023 when we made Waxed Olive in a small batch of 25 units. Having all the development work done allows us to fast track this project. If this was not complete, this project would follow our traditional product timeline which is over a year.

What is P400 Wax C4X?
This is a custom-made waxed canvas that combines a heavy-duty cotton with a tough, crystalline wax finish that is more durable and water-resistant than any off-the-shelf waxed canvas materials.

Why CTB and CAP2?
As of the last 6 months, these are our top requested and top purchased products. They are our surest bets to hit the 500 unit minimum.

Why not just order more waxed canvas?
The truth is we are working on a new waxed canvas concept that involves a lot of raw material work. Unfortunately, we learned earlier this year that this project is delayed until likely 2028, 2029 or beyond. This is why we didn't have a waxed canvas order on the books for 2026. With this news, we are currently looking into other ways to add it waxed canvas into our 2027 product roadmap, but as noted new product development takes time.

Can we track progress to the goal?
Yes, we will share regular updates on our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, to our email subscribers, and to those who purchase the collection.

If the minimums are not hit, what will happen?
We need to hit 500 units per product, but not all products need to hit the 500 unit minimum to produce the entire run. For example, if we sell 500 units of CTB26 and CAP2 but not CTB20, we will refund the CTB20 orders and produce the CTB26 and CAP2. If a scenario like this occurs, we will email the CTB20 customers and immediately work with them to refund their order after the pre-order closes on March 16th.

Will the collection come with your lifetime warranty?
Yes

If I change my mind before my pre-order ships, can I cancel?
The entire Waxed Olive collection is final sale, so no cancellations will be allowed.

Is my card charged immediately or only if the goal is reached?
Yes, the pre-order will function as a standard order, with payment collected on order. If the goal is not reached, payment will be remitted by the 18th of March.

Can I change my address before it ships?
Yes. Please email info@evergoods.mom with your address updates any time until shipment. We will also email all "backers" prior to shipment for shipping address confirmation.

Is there an associated patch with this collection?
No, there is no patch.
